A piece created for the 'Stop Flooding My Record Collection' exhibition which took place in Brisbane and Melbourne to raise funds for the Premier's Disaster Relief Appeal. A group of artists were asked to redesign old Jazz album covers which had been damaged in the Brisbane floods.
The album chosen was Duke Ellington - The Beginning, a collection of his early recordings from the late 1920's and early 1930's. After a little bit of research and a few listens it felt fitting to create something that illustrated the beginnings of the artist himself.
